Scope and content: Contains veterans benefits enrollment of Civil War and World War I veterans (or of their widows and orphans) gathered in 1883, 1889, and 1930. The unit contains over 47 cubic feet (including microfilm) of materials. Arranged by county, each enrollment includes: veteran's branch of service; name of township or city or ward; county; assessor; veteran's name; address; widow's and orphan(s)'s names and address; veteran's rank at discharge; and military organization. The corresponding index for the 1930 enrollment information is provided on 10 rolls of 16mm microfilm (AR7479-AR7488). Duplicate sets of these records are present.
