Scope and content: Kansans Caring for Kansans program. The majority of the series consists of nomination forms, which include nominee's name and contact information, occupation, category of volunteer work, general age category, nominator's contact information and relationship to nominee, brief description of nominee's volunteer activities and additional reason(s) for nomination if applicable, and lists of newspapers read in that area of the state. Categories for volunteerism included alcohol and drugs; children, youth, and family; disabled; environment; health and medical services; religious organizations; veterans affairs; arts and culture; civic or community service; education and literacy; fire, emergency, and disaster relief; homeless and poverty; senior citizens; and other. The forms are grouped by category. The series also includes correspondence, photographs and negatives, and other related materials.
