Misc. Naturalization Records

Scope and content: Microfilmed naturalization records for various individuals seeking to become citizens of the United States. Records include petitions for citizenship, declarations of intention, forms stating specific information on each individual such as race, name, occupation, residence, date of arrival in the country, name of the boat, occasional photographs, and related correspondence. Included are memorandums regarding the Nationality Act of 1940, centralizing the courts that have jurisdiction over naturalization. The records are grouped according to naturalization case but are not organized as a whole.
