Scope and content: Records related to individual becoming United States citizen. Can include declarations of citizenship provided by the Osage County District Court, with applicant's and witness' affidavits, providing new citizen's name, date of citizenship, and former sovereign and country of loyalty. Also can include petitions for naturalization, providing information regarding individual's name, age, physical description, point of arrival in the United States, and the names and ages of his wife and children; witness affidavits; individual's oath of allegiance to the U.S.; and order of court admitting petitioner as a citizen of the U.S or denial not allowing petitioner. Often includes copies of declarations of intention, witness depositions, certificates of arrival with photographs, correspondence, and other records related to naturalization process.
