Scope and content: Records related to clemency awarded by the governor of Kansas. Majority of series consists of applications for clemency, which can include correspondence (including with inmate), forms, reports, recommendations from the governor's pardon and extradition attorney and from the Parole Board or Department of Corrections, inmate prison records, and other such documents. The application files are typically organized in alphabetical order by inmate surname, in multiple runs. Also in the series are other records generally related to clemency, not necessarily to specific individual inmates, such as reports, statistical and aggregate information, etc.
