Scope and content: Reprints of scholarly articles (and a few non-scholarly, or articles written for more general audiences), sometimes donated by the author or another individual to the Menninger historical library. Includes psychiatrists who worked with Menninger as well as other scientists. Broad topics include history of psychiatry and medicine, Rorschach, treatments for mental illness, crime and punishment, specific diseases and other topics in psychiatry and medicine, children, residential treatment and non-institutionalized care, literature and the arts and its relationship to psychiatry, etc. Arranged numerically (1-1058); the last box in the series includes history of psychiatry articles organized alphabetically by author or title. The articles are often roughly grouped by author and/or topic. Boxes include contents lists.
