Scope and Content
Scope and content: Autobiographical account of her life by Ella Plano, first written in 1940, revised in 1968 and donated by the author to the Menninger Archives in 1983 with some additions made in the intervening years, mostly quotations from various popular magazines and newspapers. Typed double-spaced manuscript bound together, including some handwritten pages in the back of the book. Plano discusses her childhood, holding her parents--her mother especially--accountable for whey she lived a loveless, childless life and never married. Volume includes some newspaper clippings and photographs; correspondence between author and Dr. Bob Menninger also included, from the years 1983 and 1985.
