Scrapbooks and photograph albums that Cay Menninger created and/or kept, regarding family trips, trips she made with People to People International, her studies and travels in France and Europe in 1925, her student years at Columbia University, her civil defense work during World War II, her own baby book that her mother put together when she was born, celebrating her 80th birthday, such personal events as Dr. Will Menninger's funeral, and for other reasons.
Locations visited and shown in the albums and scrapbooks include South America, a safari, Iran, eastern Europe, Greece, Spain and Portugal, Morrocco, northern Europe, much of Asia, the United Kingdom and Ireland, the eastern United States, etc.
Materials in the scrapbooks include color slides and photographs, trip information (e.g. itineraries, participants' information, tips and useful information for traveling to specific locations, etc.), notes, news clippings and articles, trip logs and diaries or letters home, money samples, trinkets and small souvenirs, greeting cards, and other related items.
