Menninger's personal life, such as banking and financial information; personal events, e.g. birthdays and wedding anniversaries; records of his health and illness; family materials, including letters with son Karl; and much of the series is related to his death, including his funeral and expressions of sympathy to the family, as well as settling his estate.
Types of materials found in the series includes memoranda and correspondence, cards and ephemera, news clippings, speeches, photographs, letters of condolence, a memorial book for Pearl Boam Menninger's funeral in 1969, nursing notes from C.F.'s last illness, canceled checks and check registers, publications, etc.
