Scope and content: 300 photographs of Seward County owned by the Seward County Historical Society. The photographs were scanned with funds from a Kansas Humanities Council Heritage Grant. Included in the collection are views of Fargo Springs, Springfield, Liberal, Arkalon, Hutchinson, Meade, Plains, and towns in Oklahoma. Subjects include harvests, floods, schools, parks, churches, businesses, farms and ranches, round-ups, houses, street scenes, hotels, cattle, automobiles, railroads, mills, snow, Cimarron River, broomcorn, courthouses, hunting and fishing, parades, boosters, baseball teams, dust storm, poultry, crops, bridges, roads and highways, fairgrounds,
