Includes both business records for the company and family papers. Business and professional records include invoices, correspondence, freight bills, some advertising materials, and other related records from companies with which Solt worked throughout the Midwest and West of the United States; bank statements, deposit books, and other banking records; receipt books, ledgers, journals, and other financial records from the business, as well as stock inventories; and other such records. The collection provides an overview of a local business in Kansas over a period of more than seventy-five years.
Personal papers include class notes and publications from colleges and universities family members attended, notably Emporia State; newspaper clippings; church announcements and other ephemera of personal significance, etc.
