Scope and content: A letter on January 10, 1877, from H. C. Cross, tenders his resignation as a member of the Board of Regents of the State Normal School at Emporia. A resignation letter from E. N. Knapp as Director of Emporia Normal School, in the letter, Knapp recommends C. D. Lawrence as a qualified replacement. A letter on March 9, 1877, from C. R. Pomeroy, President of the State Normal School, calls Governor Anthony?s attention to certain aspects of the Kellogg Bill for the reorganization of the Normal School. A letter on March 17, 1877, from A. Sellers, gives thanks for the appointment as Regent of the Emporia Normal School. A letter on July 18, 1877, from J. J. Wright shows appropriations given to the Normal School by Legislature and where those funds were allocated.
