Scope and content: A letter on April 20, 1878, from W. R. Brown, states he has heard Judge Buffington, the current Probate Judge of Kingman County, is resigning and requests the appointment. A letter of resignation on April 23, 1878, from P. Buffington as Probate Judge and recommends J. H. Boss to fill the vacancy. A letter on October 28, 1877, from George Filley, informs Governor Anthony he has examined and recorded a full record of how the bonds were destroyed, some time ago, and is now anxiously awaiting his opinion. A petition from citizens of Kingman County request George E. Filley as Notary Public of their county.
