A letter on December 31, 1878, from Captain Willis Brown thanks Governor Anthony for the invitation and states that uniforms have been ordered. A letter on December 27, 1878, from Edmund Boltwood, accepts Kansas Governor Anthony?s invitation to attend the Inaugural Ceremony in Topeka. A letter on December 26, 1878, from A. Campbell, informs the Governor the invitation to the inauguration was received and asks about getting passes for two of the men's wives.
