A petition from citizens of Centropolis Township requests the appointment of Justice of the Peace is given to J. C. Roughes. A letter on July 20, 1874, from P. C. Hughes, informs W. H. Smallwood, Secretary of the State of Kansas, that there is a vacancy in the Office of Justice of the Peace in Eureka township. A petition from Officials of Harvey County requests that H. L.
