Scope and content: A letter from the Board of the County Commissioners of Saline County encloses an order that pertains to the relief of the United States Government. A copy of a telegram on March 2, 1875, accepting Mr. Allen as an Agent to distribute relief goods. A letter from M. L. Blackwelder of Haddam, Kansas on March 3, 1875, concerning the destitute citizens in his section and asks for some aid. A copy of a telegram from General John Pope states the relief goods for Clay County have been shipped and are ready as soon as parties arrive for them. A letter on March 9, 1875, asks Governor Harvey what has been done for the unorganized County of Graham and what steps should be taken to get seed for Spring planting.
