Scope and Content

Scope and content: A letter on June 3, 1875, from the Librarian at the Library of Congress informs Kansas Governor Osborn a copy of the Statistical Atlas of the United States, compiled by General F. A. Walker from the Census Reports will be sent to him as well as three Libraries of Literary Institutions. A letter on October 25, 1876, from J. G. Ames, Librarian and Superintendent of Public Documents, states that the Secretary of Interior directed him to forward several copies of House and Senate Journals of Congress and requests a list to send as Governor Osborn directs. A letter on February 27, 1873, from George M. Robeson, asks for a list of the Congressional Districts of Kansas and the Counties composing the same under the appointment Acts of February 2 and May 30, 1872. A letter on April 15, 1876, from the Secretary of State, sends a copy of the Joint Resolution of Congress of March 13, 1876, recommending the adoption of measures to obtain a record of the progress of the institutions during the first century of their existence.
