Topeka - Inclement Weather - Kansas Historical Society

Image for Topeka - Inclement Weather - Kansas Historical Society Due to the expected inclement weather and extreme cold temperatures, the Kansas Historical Society will be closed at all KSHS locations on Saturday, January 24 and Sunday, January 25, 2026. Those locations are: Kansas Museum of History, State Archives, Kansas State Capitol Visitors Center, Constitution Hall State Historic Site, Fort Hays State Historic Site, and Kaw Mission and Last Chance Store State Historic Site.

Celebrating KANSAS! features stories and images from across the state and is organized into the six tourism regions of Kansas, with an additional section highlighting stories that cover the entire state. A timeline of the magazine takes visitors from 1945 when it launched as To the Stars through its most recent issues under current editor Andrea Etzel.
