The Kansas Preservation Conference is returning this spring, inviting preservationists, historians, architects, and enthusiasts to Topeka on May 7-9, 2025. The theme of this year's conference is Planning for the Future of Preservation, emphasizing the importance of trades, resiliency planning, and engaging the next generation of preservationists. Conference sessions will primarily be held at the Beacon, with other activities taking place at the Kansas State Capitol, Kansas Historical Society, and other locations across Topeka.

- Keynote speaker Andrew Gustafson of the Johnson County Museum will discuss the museum's 2022 special exhibit, Redlined: Cities, Suburbs, and Segregation
- Behind the scenes tours of the Kansas State Archives and Kansas Museum of History
- African American history of Topeka bus tour
- Elizabeth and Ethan Finklestein of Cheap Old Houses will share inspiration and insights for purchasing a historic property
- Educational sessions
- Preservation advocacy panel featuring Russ Carnahan, former U.S. representative for Missouri’s third congressional district and honorary president of Preservation Action
- Kansas Preservation Alliance (KPA) annual awards ceremony luncheon
