Speakers Tyler Curtis and/or David Hendricks talk about Freemasonry in Emporia. Freemasonry in Emporia began in 1864. For over 100 years the Lodge was one half block from Editor White’s Emporia Gazette newspaper office. During his lifetime, White would have known most of the Emporia Masons and worked with many for the common good in promoting the town and in politics.
