Charles Curtis House State Historic Site
Charles Curtis served as the 31st Vice President of the United States under President Herbert Hoover from 1929 to 1933. The first and only U.S. Vice President from Kansas, and the first Indigenous person to serve in the office, Curtis put Kansas in the spotlight during the days of the Great Depression and into the 1930s.
