“SEIZED! Marion County Record Raid” 
Marion County Record publisher Eric Meyer will present this program. In August 2023 the Marion County Record was raided by local police. The raid was fueled by small-town animosities and was later deemed both illegal and illegitimate. It garnered international attention that spotlighted the precarious position of freedom of the press in today’s United States. This riveting program will be held at the William Lindsay White Civic Auditorium Little Theatre, 111 E. 6th Avenue, Emporia.
