Hays - Christmas Past - Fort Hays
Come see how the Fort would have been decorated for Christmas in the 1870s. The Fort grounds glow with lanterns & luminaries, & visitors will enjoy seeing living history programs, Father Christmas, caroling, & be treated to special refreshments. Experience the enchantment of a Victorian Christmas with candle lit walkways, period costumed reenactors, the decorated officers' quarters, model train exhibit, Father Christmas, Christmas carols, wagon rides, hot apple cider, homemade cookies, & fried apples made over a campfire.
