Russell - Kansas Archeology Lab and Field Work Tours

Tour the archeology lab and field work locations of the 2026 Kansas Archeology Training Program field school. Come see the work that the Kansas Historical Society, Kansas Anthropological Association, and KATP field school participants have been up to in Russell, Kansas. This tour will start in the archeology laboratory, where you can see the process artifacts go through after they are recovered. Then the tour group will drive* out to locations where archeological field work, including surveys and excavations, is happening. The tour group will meet at 400 N Elm St, Russell, KS 67665.

*Please be aware that the field locations are in remote areas on a ranch with low maintenance or no maintenance roads. Carpooling together to the field sites is also suggested.
