Russell - Kansas Archeology Training Program Field School
Join us in taking part in the archeology field and/or lab this June in Russell! Where you will work and
learn alongside professional and avocational archeologists. Work this year will be at a variety of site types including a petroglyph carving, a possible tipi ring site, a historic farmstead, a historic schoolhouse a two-story stone structure, and a site related to World War II Army Air Force history. Most of these sites have never been previously documented or researched. There is also the possibility, through survey work, of discovering more sites making this a field school you will not want to miss! Through this experience, you will have the chance to learn more about the field of archeology and Kansas History. Deadline to register is May 31, 2026.
