Topeka - Dismantling Preservation Listening Session
Historic preservation became a national priority in 1966 when Congress passed the National Historic Preservation Act. Times have changed since then and we want to ensure we are meeting community needs. Join our State Historic Preservation Office from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 25, at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library (Marvin Auditorium, 101A) to discuss your preservation priorities and questions. Through this casual conversation we seek to learn about your successes and challenges working with programs that preserve Kansas' historic structures, cultural sites, and archeology resources. Have a topic or question that could lead to advancements in the field? Submit it to the email address below, send it to the SHPO Facebook page, or suggest it during the listening session.
