Topeka - Kansas Day at the Kansas Museum of History
Kansas will celebrate its 165th birthday on January 29, 2026! After five years, the Kansas Museum of History is hosting an in-person Kansas Day event for students and the general public. Demonstrators include the Merry Cranks, Lois Herr (weaving), Helen Ramsey (quilting), Debbie McSweeney (Native Corn Saving), Randy Cornelius (Leather carving), and artist Stan Herd. Representatives from the Topeka Zoo and the Mulvane Art Museum will also be on hand. Admission to the Kansas Museum of History will be FREE on January 29th to celebrate the day.
