Kansas State Printers
The office of Kansas State Printer was elected from 1907 until 1977. The office was abolished through a constitutional amendment on the ballot in 1974. The amendment repealed Article 15, Section 3, requiring an elected state printer to do all of the public printing, was supported by 64 percent of the voters. The function was transferred to the Kansas Department of Administration at the beginning of the next fiscal year in July 1977. See a chronological list of Kansas State Printers.
