Sharice Lynnette Davids was born May 22, 1980, in Frankfort, West Germany. She is a member of the Ho-Chunk nation. She attended Leavenworth schools, Haskell Indian Nations University, the University of Kansas, and Johnson county community College. Davids earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. She earned a juris doctorate from Cornell Law School in 2010. Davids competed in mixed martial arts as an amateur in 2006 and as a professional in 2013.
She was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from the third district in 2018. she was sworn into office on January 3, 2019.
