Allana Saenger-Parker
Originally from Augusta, Kansas, Allana Parker received a bachelor's degree in history along with a minor in leadership studies from Kansas State University, and master's in museum studies from the University of Kansas. While at K-State, she served as an intern with the Chapman Center for Rural Studies. She has worked as curator of design with the Riley County Historical Museum in Manhattan, Kansas, since 2012 where she is responsible for exhibits and educational programming.
Parker's community involvement includes the board of directors for the Manhattan/Riley County Preservation Alliance, Wonder Workshop Children’s Museum, a second term as treasurer of the Kansas Museums Association, vice president of the Pilot Club of Manhattan, and secretary for the Arts and Humanities Association of Manhattan, a coalition of more than 40 arts and humanities organizations.
A graduate of the Leadership Manhattan and Flint Hills Regional Leadership programs, Allana is married to Daren Parker and they live in Pottawatomie County, just outside of Manhattan.
