Allegawaho
(Circa 1818 – circa 1887)
- Kaw leader at the time of tribe’s removal from Kansas in 1872
- Lived near the present town of Dunlap
- Trusted as a wise leader and eloquent orator
- U.S. government removed the Kaws to Indian Territory, present-day Oklahoma
- Kaw Mission was home to 30 Kaw boys from 1851-1854
