Epidemics in Kansas History

This Nearpod.com lesson can be teacher led or self-paced for students. The lesson begins by students learning the scientific difference between bacteria and viruses and recognizing how doctors long ago came to understand the spread of a virus. Students will investigate a variety of different epidemics in American history and explore the impact the Influenza Pandemic of 1918 had on soldiers at Camp Funston, Kansas.
