Erin Younkin
Younkin began her career in marketing with the heavy equipment and trucking industry, designing trade show booths, multi-million-dollar sales proposals, and creating collateral sales materials. She opened her own marketing business in 2015 that changed from a one-person shop to a small virtual marketing company in less than three years. She has served military-focused nonprofit organizations and other small businesses.
Relocating to Kansas in 2019, Younkin became director of Free State Marketing. This small virtual marketing agency provides full-service support to the industrial equipment and construction industry, as well as military-focused nonprofits and other growing businesses. She continues to helping small business owners and nonprofit organizations to reach their markets online.
Younkin is involved in The Hive, a female-focused co-working space, the Wichita Professional Communicators events, and on the board of firectors for the Greater Wichita Veteran Advocacy Board. She volunteers as the Lead for the Hiring Our Heroes – Military Spouse Professional Network in Wichita to build bridges between the military community, and local and private businesses.
She is the recipient of the Commander’s Award for Public Service, the Presidential Volunteer Service Award – Silver Level, and the Patriotic Civilian Service Medal. Erin currently resides in Andover. She has a bachelor's degree in mass media: advertising from Washburn University in Topeka and a master's degree in human relations:nonprofit organization management from the University of Oklahoma. She has two daughters.
