Federal Tax Credit Submissions
This page is for the submission of Federal Tax Credit Applications.
If you are looking for more information or description about the Federal Tax Credit Program please go here.
Starting August 15, 2023 the National Park Service (NPS) is requiring that all applications and supporting documentation be submitted in a digital format. Applications must be submitted to the SHPO for initial review, revision, and comments. When reviews at the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) has determined that the application is ready, the reviewers will forward the application to the NPS office with comments. Property owners will be informed when the application is sent to the NPS and will be contacted by the NPS office about the next steps.
When submitting a Federal Tax Credit application, it is NOT necessary to submit a separate Kansas Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Part 1 or Part 2 application. A separate state Part 3 application will be required to request state credits for completed phases or projects.
The application information and further details can be found at the NPS website
