Kansas Day at the Museum

On January 29, 2027, Kansas will celebrate its 166th birthday! After five years, the Kansas Museum of History is hosting an in-person Kansas Day event for students and the general public. Enjoy live performances, hands-on demonstrations, make & take activities, and more!

This year’s theme builds on our special exhibit, Kansas 1776: A Dynamic Landscape, which explores what the region looked like in 1776. Kansas Day 2027 continues this journey with fun activities and appearances from several organizations, helping students explore who, what, and how Kansas has become the state we know today

As always, admission to the Kansas Museum of History will be FREE on January 29th to celebrate the day.

Interested in bringing your students? We kindly ask that educators fill out our registration form in advance. We look forward to your visit!
