Guided tour — Kansas Museum of History, Topeka

Grades — 4th—adult

BisonThe museum's ongoing exhibits in the main gallery tell the exciting story of Kansas and the people who made this land their home from prehistoric times to the present.  Docents lead visitors through the museum providing insight into the objects on display and their significance to the history and culture of the state.  This overview of the museum includes stops at Native American reproduction houses, the Santa Fe and Oregon Trail exhibits, the Bleeding Kansas and the Civil War exhibit and the 1880 AT&SF train.  Participants may explore the current exhibit before or after the guided tour.  The tour can also be "custom fitted" to meet your interests.

Length of tour:

Approximately one hour, with a maximum of four tours per hour.

Number of people in a group:

Minimum number per tour is 10. Maximum number is 20. For large groups, a maximum of 80 people can be accommodated in one hour.
