Vance Kelley has dedicated his 40-year career to the preservation, restoration, and rehabilitation of historic and older buildings. As a leader of Treanor’s Preservation studio he has managed more than a quarter of the firm’s 1,400 preservation projects, including restoration projects for six state capitols.
Early in his career, Vance served as a preservation architect with the Kansas Historical Society's Historic Preservation Office. There he performed state law project reviews, provided architectural technical assistance to property owners, assisted owners with federal historic preservation tax incentives programs, and worked closely with the Kansas Main Street communities. He earned a bachelor of architecture degree and bachelor of environmental design from the University of Kansas in 1984.
