The Matfield Green High School Gymnasium (1929) is a Progressive Era two-story 92' x 54' brick building. The period of significance begins with the construction of the gymnasium in 1929 and continues through its use as the high school gym in 1967; after which the building sat vacant. The property is eligible for the National Register of Historic Places as a great example of the Progressive Era education related gymnasium.
