The Oregon Trail
This Nearpod.com lesson can be teacher led or self-paced for students. Students will learn about the life and hardships faced by emigrants on the Oregon Trail. Students will analyze what factors pushed emigrants to make the journey west to Oregon along with the costs and benefits of making this choice. Students will then determine what changes were brought about by emigration on the Oregon Trail for both the land and people of North America.

This free program uses Nearpod.com to provide an interactive lesson. This lesson can be teacher led or self-paced for students. Students will use historical thinking skills to actively engage in "doing" history. The platform allows parents and teachers to check the progress of their student's work online.
